Day Three

Mount Rainier and Baseball

Today we visit Mount Ranier. It is a truly spectacular area and we had a wonderful time gazing wide-eyed and slack-jawed at the scenery.

I believe it's even more impressive than the North Georgia mountains. Here are just a few of our photos.

At the left is Tree Hugger Marilyn, while at the right we see most of us with Christine Falls in the background. Below is a deer we came upon along the road.

And here are some us again.

Tonight it's baseball--Seattle Mariners v. New York Mets at SafeCo Field. The weather was nice and remained nice throughout the game; thus the retractable roof remained open. We were hoping for rain to come during the game so we could see this marvel in operation. It was, nevertheless, a good game and we had a fine time.

Following the game, we return to our home-away-from-home, the Hampton Inn, to rest up for tomorrow's departure for the North.
