Day Two

At Sea

This was perhaps our best weather day of the entire trip.

Our ship was the M/S Regatta. It is a lot smaller than the mega cruise ships of today--30,277 tons, length 594 feet, beam 83.5 feet, and draught 19.5 feet. And "only" 680 passengers on board. Following are a few pictures of the ship. I took all these pictures myself--you can see how sparsely populated things were, in spite of the cruise being sold out. Quite different from the larger ships where there seems to be somebody somewhere at all times.

Here is our stateroom--#7026, home for almost two weeks.
