Donna grew up near Cleveland, Ohio, and began playing trombone in the
3rd grade. Music has always been a passion of hers and took a priority
in grade school with participation in marching band, concert band, jazz groups,
brass choir and orchestra. After college, playing the trombone was put aside for about 25 years until 2004 when she began playing in her church orchestra and joined a few bands, Suburban Jazz, East Cobb New Horizons Band, Memory Lane Jazz Ensemble and Southern Winds. Jazz music (all types - from big band to smooth jazz ) are one of her favorites to perform, but also loves to play any challenging music. Donna moved to Atlanta in 1980 and worked at Emory University Hospital for many years as a cardiopulmonary perfusionist and then went back to school to get her Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Currently she works in the world of real estate investing, specializing in owner financing properties and note structuring/buying. Careers have changed but performing music has remained constant.
She is married to Ernie 24 years and has 2 boys, Gordon, age 20, who also has a musical background, and Andrew, age 16, who is a baseball player like his dad.
