I am 72 years young and have been married to my wonderful wife Dale for 52 years.
We have two beautiful daughters, Holli Alana Lange and Phyllis Jill Hudgins, and
two handsome grandsons, Connor Jeremy Lange and Jacob Robert Lange. I retired after 32 years of service to BellSouth Telephone Company as Staff Manager for Special Services Engineering at their headquarters offices in Atlanta, Georgia.
The trombone was my first instrument of choice. I taught myself to play it with a conductor’s coaching. I played the trombone all four years of high school and advanced to 1st chair by my junior year. I was also elected the vice president of the school band. After high school, I joined the Air Force National Guard Band, where I played the euphonium for three years. I was stationed at Dobbins Air Force Base in Marietta, Georgia. I was the only euphonium player in the band. After that, I didn't play again for 43 years until I joined the East Cobb New Horizons Band in 2006. It’s been a true pleasure returning to music.
