Great Isle of Palms Adventure 2007

October 14-18, 2007

Each year a group of members of the New Hanover High School Class of 1953 (Yes, some are still alive.) gathers at the Isle of Palms to have fun, and this year was no exception. I have been fortunate enough to be among the spouses included in the festivities for the past three years. (You can take a look at some stuff from the two previous sessions: October, 2005 and October, 2006.) The cast of characters is almost unchanged.

There were many serious discussions. Here are pictures of a few.
At this preprandial discussion, Jeannette has just startled everyone with a personal revelation regarding tattoos. You can see Diane and Warren looking at her disapprovingly, while embarrassed Sue pretends not to have heard her. Wanda is thinking over what was said and R. E. is driven to drink.
Jack approves.

Almost everyone is captivated by yet another fine story from Jim. At the right, we see that Helen has heard them all before.

Next, we see that Jim has gone too far. He is publicly denounced by R. E. as Lee looks on with disdain. Cecelia is puzzled by Jim's outlandish statements.

As always, Jim prepared a healthy breakfast for everyone each day.
