Ginny Oliver

Ginny Oliver graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Music Education degree and a Master of Music degree from Appalachian State University. In 1992 she was named Teacher of the Year at Holcomb Bridge Middle school and In 1993 was named the Georgia Music Educator of the Year. Ginny is now retired from Fulton County Schools.

She has one son who is retired from the Navy and lives in Virginia with his two sons.

Ginny is an active member of Coast Guard Auxiliary Hernando Beach, serving as an Instructor and Vessel Examiner. She served one term as Vice Flotilla Commander. In 2007 she earned the Auxiliary Commandant's Letter of Commendation for developing an expanded public education program and recruiting the largest number of new members in the Flotilla's history.

Ginny is married to Elmer Lentz, a retired accountant from GE. We spend our time between Florida and Dawsonville and love to travel. Ginny enjoys playing with community bands, teaching safe boating classes, fishing and enjoying the beautiful gardens Elmer has planted.
