With the Phillies in Clearwater
Sunday we're off to Clearwater to see the
Phillies in their new home. Jack Russell Stadium is no more.
Just for the historical record, here is a picture of the old place made during our visit last Spring. We were concerned that the new place would be slick and upscale--something like the Yankees at Legends Field or the Braves at Disney--but mercifully it was not so. The new stadium (I forget the name) maintains the relaxed Spring training atmosphere and is very nice indeed.
It was a beautiful day and we had a fine time. You can see from the picture below why many people who saw Dick and me thought Patty and Marilyn were our daughters.
